This is a great add on to the Logos app and allows my library to be easily available.
Excellent app. Works very well, and syncs across my devices
I love being able to open this app and find something I am in the mood to read. Wonderful app and would recommend it to anyone. I would love be to see some kids books available but I may not be looking in the right place either. Love the app!
Are you ever going to give us the ability to group our books? You havent updated this app in a meaningful way in years. It makes me wonder whether you use your own products. How are we supposed to get the most from our $$$$ investment when we cant organize our books? Please please please add this feature. Collections? Favorites?
I use this app daily for my devotions. I keep my Bible and devo open so I can use the logos app for research and Bible study work. It is easy to use.
Love the note taking feature and the corresponding references throughout Logos software!
I can only say that for me, I have enjoyed all the selections I have read. I am currently enjoying very much, Amazing Grace Hymn Devotional, and also Jack Hayfords Study Bible devotional which also takes you through the Bible in. Year. This is a great source for all your reading needs.
- The editor for notes is pretty bad. If the note is long, scrolling up to the top is not possible. You have to save the note and open it back up to see your entire note again and edit it. Also, the font is pretty big. - Some books give you page numbers or something helpful, but I have come across one, Jump by Efrem Smith, that doesnt seem to have page numbers or a good way to know progress except for a progress bar (that doesnt tell you a percentage of the way youre into the book). Its useful to have something like a percentage into the book for apps like goodreads where you can report your book reading status by last page read or percentage into the book. - If I move around in the book, I have no easy way of knowing where I was if I forgot to bookmark or highlight near my last reading. The new option in some Kindle books allows you to scroll through a book, while it holds the last page read in the background. Something like that would be useful :)
Bought this Apt to use in conjunction with Logos. I try to highlight info and it freezes. Is this normal or do I need to update? Thanks
Love the app and having these resources at my fingertips. Lots of awesome freebies and sale material too!
Great app. I recommend this app when I teach people about bible study tools. My faith and resource has been strengthen because of all the material you provide. I really enjoy both the commentaries and the classic writings.
I use Vyrso daily! Easy to use and just a great application!
The absolute best for my studies. Great library functions.
I travel a lot. The combination of the Vyrso and Logos apps works great for my study on the road. I read my devotionals (currently focused on Spurgeon) on Vyrso, and easily flip over to Logos for my bible and commentaries. Using the split screen functionality I can effectively have four resources open at the same time. And it all syncs back to my desktop. Love it!
Comes with some very useful books like the Faithlife study bible and Lexham dictionary. These have lots of good articles, maps and photos. I find this app very useful for bible study! Could use more bible versions tho. I Wrote this review a while back but I still use it Nearly every day.
Anything that allows me to download and access my library from Logos and read them on my IPad In a Kindle format is worth gold for me!
This is a great reader. I like to jump to the Bible passage to confirm what the author is saying in the book I am reading. Or sometimes I read two books at the same time with the split screen feature. I have many tools for reading but use this one the most.
Ive owned Logos since it first came out. I think I did beta testing too. I love Logos and cant begin to figure how many hours Ive used it. I would give this app five stars for content available and cost of content. Ive had this app since it was released and you can tell from my rating that Im VERY disappointed. It has many good features, and strong links to Logos. All the positives cant overcome a glaring weakness. You cant add bookmarks! Thats nuts for an app designed for reading books. It also is terribly limited in how you sort your library. I cant even sort by when a book was added which makes finding books in my 1000+ library more than difficult. These problems are easily fixed but repeated requests have never been responded to much less addressed. I hope this review will change that!
Vyrso has some great features. I like that I can access my entire library from the cloud, that is awesome, a word I rarely use. I like that Logos gives away books for free that seem to be really decent, also. I almost hate to find flaws with either Vyrso or Logos but must be honest and unbiased. 1. Vyrso seems to lose my place more often than not making resuming reading so hard I give up; 2. The Library Search feature doesnt work that well, but its pretty good. Still, its no substitute for a good memory or knowing your Bible. Update 12-6-15 FaithLife Corp seems to have improved its stability. Im getting better with it, but there is very little to know compared to an old-style applications.
